Mother’s Day and the Sacred Feminine

We’re living in an age called the Sacred Feminine which means not only are we learning to live more in the heart but in this time, we are learning how to use the tools of the heart.   We have spent many years living in the Sacred Masculine which means the mind period now is the time to balance both mind and heart

Mother’s Day is also a very sacred time where we honor the women who have brought forth and nurtured a life into this world.  So Mother’s Day means much more than just offering a card or lunch at a restaurant for our mother’s. It means taking the time to honor what it means to be a mother.

It means we’re honoring the sacred feminine we are offering a form of a reverence and respect to life itself. Our mothers held us all in their wombs! Every one of us was held in this sacred environment in our mother’s bodies until such time as we were ready to be born, to live and to thrive.

The sacred feminine of the heart is the root of what love really is. By honoring the sacred feminine and what you’re really doing is you are using the power of your will to allow the beauty of that love that is within you to issue forth and to flourish.

It has been said by the Native Americans that by protecting the woman, she reveals the man’s soul to himself.  That’s saying does mean literally but it also means figuratively that by honoring the tenderness and the nurturing of the heart we all reveal our souls to ourselves.

Even so, in other Native American tribes, when the male chiefs gathered together in council and made a decision to go to war with the neighboring tribe, they would then go to the elder females and ask for permission to do so. The reason that they did this is because they knew that the women were the ones that gave their life to the tribe itself and without them there was no life!

The sacred feminine is using the power of the will to allow instead of push. It is using the power of the will to allow the tremendous love that lives within the purity of ourselves to issue forth and to all that we are and to all that we do.

And yes, it also means to honor women who are also mothers, who have given birth to our children. Children who are born innocent and precious and thus also deserve to be protected and nurtured.

Who among us does not deserve to be protected and nurtured!  By physically honoring our mothers this coming Mother’s Day what we’re also doing is not just honoring our parents and our families but we’re also honoring what that really means in bringing life into this world and its preciousness that needs to be nurtured and protected!

It means that in doing so we are also honoring the sacred feminine within ourselves, the space that is our hearts. It means that by nurturing that beautiful love that always exists within us and allowing it to come forth we are also spreading that love everywhere all over the world. The metaphysical part of this is because the yogis talk about how as we expand in our meditations and spiritual awareness that spiritual vibration goes out to all creation. In my terms it means that 95% of all communication is not verbal or physical, it’s the energy of who we really are that moves beyond time and space.

Hold that sacred space within you. Take some moments to recognize what the Sacred Feminine really is.  How precious and how beautiful our mothers really are.  Honor our Mother and our Sacred Heart.

Blessings,
