The Spring Equinox is almost here. It is a very important event to the Mayans, so much so that the pyramid at Chichen Itza is precisely constructed to mark the date of equal days and nights. In the morning and the evening hours, the sun would cast shadows over the 9-steps pyramid creating a pattern of 7 light and 6 shadow along the steps, connecting to the head of Kukulkan (the feathered serpent which represent kundalini energy), at the base of the pyramid.
